What is a headspa?

A head spa is a professional scalp treatment - part deep cleanse, part relaxation ritual.

Think of it as a facial, but for your scalp. We use specialist products, steam therapy, and targeted massage to remove buildup, rebalance your scalp's health, improve blood circulation to the hair follicles, and deeply relax your nervous system.

Most clients describe it as the most relaxed they've felt in months.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes - gift cards are available for any amount and can be redeemed against any treatment. They make excellent gifts because the recipient gets to choose their own treatment.

Do I need to wash my hair before treatment?

Accepted Answer

Arrive with unwashed hair to allow us to evaluate your scalp in its natural state. Hair should be detangled and free from knots; however, clean hair is not necessary. Please wear a top that can be easily pulled down to give us access to your shoulders and neck. You will be covered with a towel or blanket for comfort.

What does lymphatic drainage actually do?

Your lymphatic system is responsible for removing waste, toxins, and excess fluid from the body's tissues. When it's sluggish,which it often is through stress, inactivity, or illness, you get puffiness, dull skin, water retention, and reduced immunity.

Manual lymphatic drainage uses gentle, rhythmic movements to physically stimulate the flow of lymphatic fluid. Most people notice visible results -  reduced puffiness, a more defined face, brighter skin, within 24 hours of their first session.

How often should I come?

For head spa, most clients come every 4–6 weeks for optimal scalp health. Monthly visits are ideal.

For lymphatic drainage, we recommend every 4 weeks to see the full cumulative benefit.

For massage, when your body needs it though monthly maintenance is ideal for most people.

Our packages are designed around exactly these intervals.

Is there anything I should tell you before booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes -  please let us know if you have any scalp conditions (psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis), recent surgery, pregnancy, any medical conditions that affect circulation, or if you're taking medication that affects your skin or lymphatic system. We'll advise on the most suitable treatment. We'd rather have the conversation than have you miss out on the right treatment.

What is your cancellation policy

Accepted Answer

We ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations and no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee as outlined at the time of booking. We know life happens - if something comes up, just let us know as early as possible and we'll do our best to work with you.

Where are you located and how do I get there?

We're based at Preen Salon, 1 St Petersgate, Stockport SK1 - right in Stockport town centre, a short walk from Stockport train station and easily accessible by bus.

There is paid parking nearby on St Petersgate and in the Merseyway shopping centre car park. If you're coming by train, we're less than 10 minutes on foot.
